Chapter 355 I Want to Challenge My Weakness
Faced with this scene, Sean instinctively held his breath.
His eyes unconsciously scanned the scene before him, unsure whether he was stunned by the sight or by Daphne's decisive actions.
"What are you doing...?"
Daphne did not respond immediately, but looked at him with a complex and dangerous gaze.
That look ignited a fire within Sean.
He was standing on the edge of an abyss, and a single misstep would plunge him into endless darkness.
"Daphne, this isn't a—"
Before Sean could finish speaking, Daphne interrupted him.
The situation now seemed to have returned to five minutes earlier, except that Daphne had taken the initiative—using her daring attire and sexy body.
"Is this not what you wanted? Or perhaps...:..." She leaned closer, forcing Sean to take a step back, "You only think about it in your heart, but don't have the courage to face what actually happened?"
She was so close that Sean could almost feel her breath.
That intimate distance was suffocating, yet it also made it impossible for him to look away—she was just too white and too soft.
"If you want to play games, I'll play with you to the very end."
Hermione stood at the doorway, her eyes fixed on everything before her, her mind completely blank.
She never expected Daphne to be so ruthless.
Could Professor Phillips resist such a temptation?
To be honest, she's a little uncertain now.
As Daphne spoke, she rubbed her breasts against Sean's body.
Sean's body stiffened, his breathing became rapid, but he tried to restrain himself from responding to the almost provocative contact.
There are still audience members outside, and he needs to keep the play going.
"Daphne," Sean said, glancing intentionally or unintentionally at the box on the table, "don't do that."
Daphne's smile grew even more unrestrained. She leaned forward slightly, her body almost pressing against Sean's chest.
She did notice Sean's gaze, and a mischievous smile crept onto her lips.
"Oh, what's interesting here?" she said softly, her fingers already on the suitcase's lock.
"Daphne, no—" Sean pleaded in a low voice, his voice filled with barely concealed urgency, "Don't open that box."
But she ignored him, as if she hadn't heard Sean's pleas.
With a gentle flick of her finger, the lock clicked open.
"What are you hiding, Professor?" Daphne murmured, as she slowly opened the box and nudged Sean's body with her shoulder, as if teasing him.
Sean gritted his teeth and let out a barely audible growl.
"Daphne, please—"
He made one last attempt to salvage the situation, his voice filled with despair. However, she still opened the box without hesitation.
The moment Daphne lifted the lid of the box, a biting chill swept over her like a sharp sword, and the temperature in the entire room plummeted.
Her smile froze instantly, and the black figure that slowly rose from the box swallowed up all the light.
Hermione stood at the doorway, witnessing this scene firsthand, and felt her heart sink.
It was a Dementor—cold, eerie, and carrying a heavy aura of death.
"Oh my God—" Hermione murmured, but her voice was so faint with fear that it was almost inaudible.
The Dementor silently floated out of the box, its black, hole-like face, faintly visible beneath its robes, facing directly at Daphne.
In an instant, a chilling sense of despair washed over her like a tsunami, causing her body to stiffen abruptly. She tried to back away, but her legs were too weak to move.
Daphne's face still held a hint of the smile from before, but that smile was quickly replaced by utter terror.
She struggled to make a sound, but even her screams were mercilessly swallowed up by the Dementors.
"Daphne, close your eyes! Run!" Hermione shouted involuntarily from the doorway, but it was too late.
The Dementor slowly approached Daphne, whose body began to tremble slightly and whose face turned as pale as paper.
That despair seemed to transform into an invisible hand, tightly gripping her soul.
In the instant before she completely lost consciousness, the last thing she saw was Sean's mocking gaze.
It was as if it were saying: I told you not to open it, but you still opened it. Hermione and the others at the door were not spared either.
The chilling despair emanating from the Dementors left the three of them with blank minds, all hope stripped away in that instant.
Hermione managed to hold onto the door frame, but then everything went black, and she collapsed limply to the ground.
When Daphne opened her eyes again, she found herself in complete darkness.
Her mind was foggy, her body stiff, and she was still immersed in the endless coldness and despair that the Dementors had brought her.
She tried to stay awake, but the darkness and silence around her made her even more uneasy.
Suddenly, a deep voice came from inside the room: "Awake?"
Daphne jolted and struggled to lift her head, but she still couldn't see anything.
After struggling and feeling the cold touch beneath her buttocks, she realized a few seconds later that she was sitting on a cold wooden chair, her wrists and ankles tightly bound and unable to move.
From the darkness opposite, the slow sound of leather shoes clicking on the floor could be heard.
"I warned you," Sean's voice was low and cold, as if pronouncing a sentence against her. "But you didn't listen."
Daphne gritted her teeth and did not answer Sean's question.
A lamp suddenly turned on, casting a faint light on Sean's face.
He slowly walked up to her, his hands clasped in front of him, his eyes devoid of any pity.
"I don't want to do this, but you need to understand that some boundaries cannot be easily crossed."
As Sean spoke, he took a black eye mask out of his pocket.
Seeing the blindfold, Daphne suddenly raised her head, a hint of panic flashing in her eyes. "What are you going to do?" She tried to struggle, but the restraints on her wrists and ankles prevented her from moving.
"Don't move," Sean commanded in a low voice. "This will calm you down and help you think about what you've done."
He bent down and slowly placed the cold blindfold over Daphne's eyes.
Darkness engulfed her again, and her world instantly became dark and silent, with only Sean's steady breathing in her ears.
"It'll be easier to concentrate this way," Sean whispered in her ear, his voice seemingly omnipresent in the darkness.
Daphne's breathing became rapid.
She disliked the feeling of being completely out of control, and even more so, she disliked being imprisoned within Sean's rules like prey awaiting slaughter.
"Will doing this make me listen to you?" Daphne's voice trembled slightly, but she tried to appear strong.
Sean chuckled softly, a hint of suppressed mockery in his voice. "You've never understood, this was to save you."
He walked slowly around her, his leather shoes making a dull thud on the floor, each step deepening Daphne's unease.
"Now," his voice came from behind her, deep and authoritative, "you have time to calm down and figure out what you really want."
Daphne kept her lips tightly shut and stopped speaking. The darkness and silence made her feel increasingly oppressed, but she was unwilling to give in easily.
"Don't try to be strong," Sean whispered in her ear. "This isn't a game you can win."
Before Daphne could react, she suddenly felt a strange pulling sensation.
An ominous feeling spread through her body like an electric current—her clothes had ripped somewhere.
"Wait—" her voice finally broke free, filled with obvious panic and resistance.
She twisted her body violently, trying again to break free of her restraints, but her hands and ankles were bound tightly. Sean clearly saw that the rope had rubbed deep red marks on her fair wrists and ankles.
"Now," Sean whispered in her ear, "it'll be too late for you to regret it."
Before Daphne could say anything more, she suddenly felt a hand grab her chin and forcefully pry open her mouth.
"Ugh!" She tried to struggle, but her hands and feet were still firmly bound, and she could not move her body.
Immediately afterwards, a stench assaulted her senses, and she almost instantly realized what was happening—a wet, dirty sock was being roughly shoved into her mouth.
The stench made her stomach churn, but she couldn't utter a sound of resistance.
Daphne felt an unprecedented panic and anger, but she couldn't see or touch anything, and even her mouth was firmly gagged by Sean.
All she could do was shake her head frantically and kick her legs desperately.
However, all her resistance was in vain. She could only feel a powerful force tearing her newly bought clothes to shreds, the rough fibers leaving bloody marks on her skin.
"Stop!" she cried in her heart, but no sound came out.
The darkness heightened her senses, magnifying every subtle movement Sean made on her body.
As time passed, Daphne could clearly sense a strange atmosphere in the air, as if something amiss was happening.
She felt her body gradually slipping out of her control, and a sense of powerlessness welled up within her.
She desperately wanted it all to be a nightmare, but reality is always crueler than dreams.
"I know you're scared right now, but you have to trust me, this is the best way out for you."
Sean's words struck Daphne as particularly ironic.
Just then, Daphne felt a warm breath on the back of her neck; Sean's breath was very close, and a pair of large hands were...
"Relax, leave everything to me." His voice was like a devil's whisper, each word penetrating Daphne's heart and igniting a flame called desire.
Daphne's rationality was crumbling bit by bit. She desperately tried to grasp the last shred of clarity, but she crumbled completely under Sean's gaze.
"This is your true face, Daphne," Sean chuckled. "You'll never escape my grasp."
Daphne could no longer utter a word; tears welled up in her eyes and streamed down her cheeks.
Tears dampened the blindfold on Daphne's face, giving her a slight chill, but this chill was quickly overwhelmed by the heat within her body.
Daphne was still panting, her cheeks flushed with shame, anger, and suffocation.
Just as she was on the verge of collapse, Sean leaned close to her and his rough, strong fingers slowly removed her blindfold.
In an instant, the glaring light made her squint, and tears involuntarily slid down her cheeks.
As the scene before her gradually came into focus, she saw Sean's expressionless face, as if everything that had just happened was merely a routine, cold-blooded tactic.
"This is just a lesson," Sean's voice was deep and authoritative, "to teach you not to act rashly next time."
Daphne's throat tightened from the stench of the socks. She nodded frantically, but her eyes still held a hint of stubbornness and resistance.
She desperately wanted to yell back, but with her mouth stuffed with socks, she could only manage muffled sobs.
Sean slowly pulled the sock out of her mouth, the nauseating smell still lingering in the air.
Daphne immediately turned her head and coughed violently, tears streaming down her cheeks. She tried to say something, but found that her throat felt blocked, and she couldn't make a sound.
"Cry," Sean said coldly. "Tears will calm you down."
Daphne glared at him angrily, but tears still streamed down her face uncontrollably.
She knew she was powerless to resist, and she also knew that every step Sean took was premeditated.
"Next time," Sean's voice grew even lower, as if an invisible blade were slicing past her ear, "I want you to have Hermione test me. I want to challenge my weaknesses. If you don't do this... perhaps others will see your embarrassing moment."
Daphne shuddered, a deep fear rising in her heart.
Hermione—Innocent Hermione—What would happen if she were in this situation?
But what would happen if...someone saw what she looked like just now?
Thinking of this, all her stubbornness and anger instantly crumbled, replaced by helplessness and despair.
"No," she pleaded softly, tears streaming down her face like broken pearls, "Don't let—"
Sean smiled slightly, a cold and ruthless smile. "That's up to you, Daphne." His gaze was like a knife, piercing her soul. "You just need to promise me you'll do as I say. Otherwise—" He paused, his tone carrying an undeniable threat, "you'll be worse off than her."
Daphne felt as if her heart was being torn apart. She bit her lower lip tightly, and tears silently streamed down her face.
Finally, her stubbornness and resistance completely collapsed, and she sobbed, "I—I promise you."
Sean looked down at her, nodding coldly with satisfaction. "Very good, Daphne," he said. "You've made a wise decision."
He straightened up, withdrew his threatening gaze, untied Daphne, and walked outside.
Daphne slumped in her chair, tears blurring her vision.
She knew she could never go back to being the proud and fearless person she once was.
