Chapter 243 Luna When She's Drunk
Chapter 243 Luna When She's Drunk
Chapter 243 Luna When She's Drunk
In fact, Sean had absolutely no experience when it came to raising children.
He has always lived a free and unrestrained life.
He had never considered having children, nor had he ever imagined that one day he would need to take care of a child, let alone that the child was Luna.
However, fate always takes unexpected turns.
Now, he stood in front of Luna's door, holding a freshly made breakfast in his hand, feeling both remorseful and expectant.
"Miss Lovegood, it's time to get up and have breakfast." Sean tried his best to make his voice sound gentle and polite.
He knocked gently on the door, pondering his next move.
After about half a minute, there was still no sound from inside. Sean knocked again, pressing his ear close to the door, trying to catch any movement inside.
The result: Nothing was gained.
Just as Sean was wondering if Luna had left with the Lovegoods, he heard the sound of a toilet flushing next door.
A few seconds later, the toilet door was pushed open.
Luna, still half-asleep, came out.
"Good morning, Mr. Hack," Luna greeted him, rubbing her eyes.
"Good morning, Miss Lovegood," Sean replied with a smile, but his gaze was drawn to Luna's adorable pajamas.
Luna's pajamas were predominantly off-white with a ring of light blue clouds printed on them, and a large bow at the chest as decoration.
The puffy sleeves made her arms appear and disappear, and two buttons on the collar were undone, revealing her fair and slender collarbone. The shorts on her lower body barely covered the top of her thighs, exposing her two slender calves. A silk scarf was tied around her ankles, swaying gently with her steps.
Luna's hair was still a little messy, obviously she had just gotten up, with a few strands falling casually across her forehead, adding to her lazy look.
She stretched, revealing her tall and graceful figure to Sean. Her pajamas slipped down a bit, revealing more of her fair and tender skin.
"What's wrong, Mr. Hack?" Luna looked at him questioningly. "What are you looking at?"
"N-nothing... I just thought your pajamas were cute today." Sean quickly looked away, somewhat guiltily changing the subject, "Why did you just come out of the bathroom?"
"I need to use the restroom," Luna replied matter-of-factly.
Upon hearing this, Sean appeared quite angry.
Before this, having grown up without parents and from an orphanage, he always thought that children needed an adult to accompany and help them wipe their bottoms when they went to the toilet.
He was still thinking about this problem when he went to bed last night—how to complete this task without feeling awkward.
It seems we don't need him.
Sean expressed some regret that he couldn't provide Luna with more comprehensive care.
About five minutes later, Luna came out of the room after changing her clothes.
She looked much more energetic than before.
Luna walked straight to the dining table and smiled sweetly when she saw the breakfast Sean had prepared for her.
The breakfast looked very appealing, with fresh fruit, rich milk, and several slices of perfectly toasted bread that smelled delicious.
"Thank you, Mr. Hack," Luna said, picking up a piece of bread, taking a small bite, and then drinking a sip of milk, a satisfied expression on her face.
Throughout this process, Sean watched intently from the sidelines.
So this is what it feels like to take care of a child.
It seems like I feel a sense of accomplishment, but not much.
Luna seemed to sense Sean's gaze. She looked up, blinked her big eyes, and asked Sean with some curiosity, "Mr. Huck, what's wrong? Was my eating too frightening?"
She looked even cuter with a few crumbs of bread still stuck to her cheeks.
Sean reached out and gently wiped the breadcrumbs from Luna's cheek, then smiled and said, "No, Miss Lovegood. I was just wondering if there were any plans for today? With your parents not home, is there anything special we can do?"
Luna's eyes lit up when she heard Sean's words.
She had indeed thought about this. Her parents not being home meant she was free to manage her own time without worrying about their constraints and restrictions.
She had been looking forward to this day for a long time.
Encouraged by Sean, she spoke with great anticipation.
"Amusement park!"
"study."
Luna thought Uncle Hack hadn't heard her, so she repeated herself clearly, "Amusement park!"
Sean smiled and shook his head, then slowly said, "Study."
"I mean I want to go to the amusement park." Luna blushed, her eyes widening as she looked at Sean.
"I mean you should be studying at home today." With that, Sean started clearing the table.
"But...but didn't you just ask me what I was going to do today?" Luna's voice couldn't help but carry a hint of embarrassment and annoyance.
She felt like a neglected child, even though she had made herself perfectly clear.
But why won't Uncle Huck listen?
So she followed Sean all the way to the kitchen.
While Sean was on one side, she kept impatiently shouting "Amusement Park".
“But Luna,” Sean stopped what he was doing, turned around and looked at her, “you know what? In an amusement park, you can only get temporary happiness, but if you choose to study, you will get lasting happiness and a sense of accomplishment.”
"It's like planting a tree. Although it's hard work at first, seeing it slowly grow brings you immense satisfaction."
"You're kidding me!" Luna interrupted Sean without hesitation. "I want to go to the amusement park, just once!"
To be honest, Sean didn't agree with the first half of Luna's statement.
Because real children usually need an adult to accompany them when they go to the toilet.
Luna doesn't need that.
Following this logic, Luna is no longer a child.
"Miss Lovegood, I meant your parents entrusted you to me, not that I took you to an amusement park," Sean said, placing the washed dishes into the nearby cabinet. He seemed somewhat tempted. "If Mr. Lovegood knew about this..."
"Then we won't let them know!" Luna said hastily, patting her budding chest and promising, "I won't tell them. This is a secret between you and me..."
As she spoke, she shook Sean's arm. "Uncle Huck, please take me just this once..."
"Alright, Miss Lovegood," Sean finally nodded. "Then I'll take you to the amusement park for a day. But we don't have any preparations for today, so we'll have to go tomorrow."
Luna's face instantly lit up with a bright smile; she was so happy she almost jumped for joy.
"That's great! Thank you, Uncle Huck! I knew you were the best!" she said as she ran to Sean, gave him a big hug, and kissed him on the cheek, leaving a wet hickey.
Sean was taken aback by Luna's sudden display of affection, but he quickly wiped the kiss mark off his cheek and gave a warm smile.
"So, Miss Lovegood, what shall we do today?"
"Write stories!" Luna answered without hesitation. "Uncle Huck, I want to learn how to write stories!"
As she spoke, she seemed to remember something, and scratched her head sheepishly.
"Yes, Miss Lovegood, as you wish." Sean shrugged, offering no objections.
This was the first time Sean had entered Luna's room.
The room's main color is a soft pink, and the walls are covered with glittering stickers and dreamy posters.
In the center of the room, a pink bed takes center stage, covered with soft bedding and several adorable plush toys.
A small pink desk sits beside the bed, neatly arranged with books, notebooks, and some small decorations.
Sean's gaze fell on a large framed photo hanging on the wall, which contained a picture of Luna with her family.
Isn't it a cozy little house?
Sean walked to the desk and sat down, took the paper and pen Luna handed him, cleared his throat, and then looked intently at Luna.
Luna felt a little flustered by Sean's gaze.
"What's wrong, Uncle Huck? Is something the problem?"
"First, please call me Mr. Huck, or just Huck. Uncle Huck always makes me feel a little uncomfortable." Once Sean entered teaching mode, he seemed like a different person, his expression becoming very serious.
Luna was a little nervous.
She gently bit her lip, her hands unconsciously twisting the hem of her clothes.
"Secondly, you may not understand my teaching methods, but that won't prevent you from doing what I say."
"Third, you must abide by the first two points."
"Okay, Hack." Luna nodded, then mustered her courage and said, "You can call me Luna too."
"Okay, Luna, let's begin today's lesson." Sean readily agreed. "Move a little closer to me, look here."
Luna obediently moved her seat closer to Sean.
Her soft body was only a few centimeters away from Sean's, so much so that Sean could clearly smell the sweet, cloying fragrance emanating from her.
Sean wrinkled his nose slightly; the fragrance was so sweet and intoxicating that it made him somewhat distracted.
But he took a deep breath and quickly returned to normal.
He is a highly respected professor.
He often boasted about himself in this way.
Sean opened the refrigerator door.
Looking at the remaining ingredients inside.
Chicken, potatoes, and an unopened bottle of whiskey.
Having spent so many days with Xenophilius, Sean was unaware that the other man had a drinking habit.
Judging from the condition of the packaging of this bottle of whisky, it seems that no one has moved it in a long time.
It's not hard to deduce that this bottle of whiskey was a gift to Xenophilius, but since Xenophilius doesn't drink,
So it's always been placed in this position.
Sean thought for a moment and then took out the chicken and whiskey together.
The combination of the two seems to make a pretty good dish – white wine chicken.
Of course, Wei Tu Ji replaced baijiu (Chinese liquor).
To be honest, this was Sean's first time making this dish using whiskey instead of baijiu, so he didn't know how it would taste.
But...why don't you just try and see?
Sean was cutting the chicken while thinking about the lesson he had just learned.
In fact, every time he teaches, he unconsciously immerses himself in...:
He had just finished teaching when his gaze inadvertently fell on Luna's rosy and delicate lips.
And then... I couldn't move it anymore.
Its delicate pink color made it seem as if it could bloom into the most radiant flower at any moment.
A strong desire suddenly rose in a corner of his body, wanting to kiss those two peach-like lips and suckle their sweet taste.
He swallowed hard, his Adam's apple bobbing, his voice becoming somewhat dry. "Luna... I... I think we should take a break."
So he came here to prepare dinner.
Reflecting on his lesson, Sean felt that his teaching had been remarkably effective.
When Luna first started teaching, she kept saying she wanted to write a novel featuring magical creatures as the main characters.
Sean told her about Shen Shixi's "Wolf King's Dream" and "The Leap of the Spotted Antelope".
In fact, he naively believed that if one wanted to write a fantasy novel, there was no more suitable entry point than Shen Shixi's novels.
Just as he expected, Luna was very excited after hearing the two stories.
She said she was going to write a magical cat story.
Then, Sean seized the opportunity to assign Luna homework: to observe the life around her more closely.
Writing stories requires inspiration and creativity, but these don't appear out of thin air; they come from life, from the author's observations and reflections on the world.
Only in this way can the stories created be more interesting and realistic.
Luna also humbly accepted his other suggestions—to feel the emotions of the characters she was writing about.
Of course, this topic will be covered in the next lesson.
Because... he was already somewhat overwhelmed at that time.
Just as Sean was about to reach out and pour the whiskey that had been sitting next to him into the already cut chicken, his hand unexpectedly missed.
He turned his head in confusion and found that the bottle of oyster sauce, which had been sitting steadily on the cutting board, had disappeared without a trace.
Looking further down, his self-illumination caught sight of Luna.
She was holding a bottle of whiskey and drinking it down without any hesitation, with a satisfied expression on her face.
Watching Luna drink whiskey without any restraint, a hint of surprise and helplessness flashed in Sean's eyes.
He hadn't expected that, without his noticing, Luna would secretly pick up a whiskey and start drinking it, and judging from her appearance, she seemed to be quite drunk.
Luna's cheeks flushed, and her eyes became unfocused.
She smiled at Sean, the whiskey bottle in her hand wobbling slightly, spilling some of the liquor.
"Hack, you know what?!" Luna's voice was slurred, clearly she was a little drunk, "I felt like I'd entered a fantasy world, adventuring with that magical cat!"
Sean found Luna's words both amusing and exasperating.
He knew that Luna was drunk and had started talking nonsense.
He stood up, walked over to Luna, and prepared to snatch the whiskey bottle from her hand, but she nimbly dodged it.
"Stop drinking, you've had too much!" Sean stopped him.
"Hmm...really? But this tastes really good..." Luna blinked her big eyes, seemingly unaware of her own state.
Suddenly, she held the wine bottle in one hand and unbuttoned the top two buttons of her shirt with the other, revealing a large expanse of fair skin.
